Position Summary

The Project Engineer is directly responsible for contributing to the growth of the company through managing projects related to new or improved equipment, tooling, and facilities. The Project Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating the specifications, quotes, scheduling, and qualification of machines, tooling, and facilities for our manufacturing plants. You will work closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Development, Finance, and Quality to manage and implement the projects that are defined by the team to improve capacity, efficiency, reliability, and product quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to)

  • Create value and profit for the company by completing projects on time and on budget

  • Create, maintain, and communicate project timelines and schedules

  • Manage multiple tasks for multiple departments

  • Work close with the maintenance department to ensure machine effectiveness and provide technical support

This position does not have supervisory duties


This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or any other related Engineering degree

Training and Experience:
Minimum 2 years industry experience

Knowledge of:

  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio

  • SolidWorks or comparable software knowledge is a must

  • Lean manufacturing, six sigma principles, and 5S skills are a plus

  • Mills, lathes, and other fabrication equipment knowledge is a plus

Skills and Abilities to:

  • Demonstrate teamwork skills, technical, communication, and critical thinking.

This position does not have supervisory duties


Work is usually performed in a production and office environment, utilizing lab, industrial, and office.  The job will also require the employee to safely handle, use, and dispose of chemicals.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and write in a professional.  The employee is also required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
