The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in production of our products. The Production Supervisor will lead the way in meeting production schedules, ensuring product quality, and decreasing scrap while minimizing production cost and increasing capacity. The Production Supervisor will interface with Supply Chain for materials and production scheduling, the Quality team to ensure quality, and the Administrative group to review and control expenses, labor absorption, and standard cost.

Successfully manage to understand and supervise all production departments
Coordinate and conduct relevant operator training
Prepare reporting and perform production administrative tasks
Enforce policies and perform disciplinary actions when needed
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to)
Enforce safety and sanitation regulations
Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as machine setters and fabricators
Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports in order to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals
Understand production materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees, or assign employees to experienced workers for training
Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers
Hold daily department meetings
Read and speak English fluently - Spanish a plus
Hold team accountable
Motivate team and maintain a positive work environment
Other duties as assigned
A high school diploma is required
5+ years of supervisory experience in a production setting
10-20 direct reports, depending on shift
WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is usually performed in a manufacturing environment, utilizing standard manufacturing or office equipment and common warehouse tools. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to move and use hands. The employee is constantly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
