Position Summary

Support Engineering and Production through optimization of processes and equipment in membrane casting and element assembly operations. You will be responsible for supporting production coating, assembly, and testing departments. You will work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing, Maintenance, and Product Development to improve quality, decrease cost, and increase output.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to)

  • Create value and profit for the company by improving processes, equipment, and operator training, resulting in decreased scrap and product cost

  • Analyze and recommend projects or process improvements specifically for Rolling, TurboClean, and Testing departments

  • Support Production in reducing scrap

  • Increase production efficiency

  • Standardize production processes

  • Document and develop Work Instructions for all production processes

  • Balance production processes and validate takt times

  • Own automated production machine optimizations

  • Adhere to our core values of teamwork, integrity, excellence, and reliability

  • Support assigned department(s) to keep production running efficiently

  • Other duties as assigned


This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or any other related Engineering degree

Training and Experience:

  • Minimum education plus 7 years of manufacturing work experience

  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project, Visio

  • CAD: Solidworks, AutoCAD

  • Experienced in Root Causes & Corrective Action

  • Data analysis and statistics

  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, six sigma principles, and 5S skills

This position does not have supervisory duties


Work is usually performed in a production and office environment, utilizing lab, industrial, and office equipment.  The job will also require the employee to safely handle, use, and dispose of chemicals.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and write in a professional manner.  The employee may also be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
