Development of the first UF membrane at the Industrial Park Kalle-Albert in Wiesbaden.

Production of the first hydrophilic UF membrane made from polysulfone and polyethersulfone.


1990

Foundation of the MICRODYN Modulbau GmbH & Co. KG, Wuppertal, out of the former "Technical Membranes" department of the Enka-Membrana/Akzo AG.

MICRODYN Technologies Inc. in Raleigh, North Carolina, was founded


1995
Start of the SPRA-CEL® spiral wound module production.

Development of coalescers and finest drop separator elements.


1997
Completion and startup of the new and modern production plant for NADIR® UF membranes.

Development of special PE-membranes.

Development of a highly permeable UF membrane (UP150) for submerged modules.

Splitting of the Hoechst AG: Celgard GmbH
is taken over by Celanese AG.



Development of acid and caustic resistant stable and alkaline resistant SPIRA-CEL® modules.

Renaming of the Celgard GmbH to NADIR Filtration GmbH.

December 2002: Acquisition of the NADIR Filtration GmbH  (Wiesbaden)  by GEP I Beteiligungs-Holding AG  (Vienna) (GEP: Global Equity Partners).


2003
Merger with the MICRODYN Modulbau GmbH & Co. KG in Wuppertal and formation of the "Advanced Separation Group" The company now operates under the name MICRODYN-NADIR GmbH

Start of the development of the BIO-CEL®.




Startup of a new fully automated spiral winding machine for the production of SPIRA-CEL® spiral wound modules.

MICRODYN-NADIR GmbH in Wiesbaden has extended the product range by a 1" tubular module for the treatment sewage and the sample preparation in sewage works. Starting now, 1" tubular modules are available in cut-offs of  20 to 500 kD based on polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and polyether sulphone (PES).

Development of the first dry-up UF membrane.

January:  Relocation of the Wuppertal operation to the Industrial Park Kalle Albert, Wiesbaden.

September: Introduction of the first BIO-CEL® MBR module for waste water treatment.


2006
Foundation of MICRODYN-NADIR (Xiamen) Co.Ltd in China.


2007
Implementation of a second SPIRA-CEL® winding machine in Xiamen, China.


2008
Introduction of the BIO-CEL® BC400 at IFAT in Munich, Germany.

August: Preparation of the footing for the new production hall in Wiesbaden.


2010
Completion of the new production hall in Wiesbaden.

New slewing crane for the testing and transport of the  BIO-CEL® modules (working load: max 5 metric tonns).

Implementation and final acceptance of the new automatic BIO-CEL® production line.









Capacity increase of the raw materials warehouse inside the new production facility.

Installation of the  first photovoltaics construction  at the Industrialpark Kalle-Albert in Wiesbaden on top of the MICRDOYN-NADIR building

Successful application of the newly developed Mechanical Cleaning Process - BIO-CEL® MCP - for membrane bioreactors (MBR)  in industrial waste water treatment plants.

August: Relocation of Microdyn Technologies Inc. into a new office building in Raleigh, NC, USA.

Completion of the restoration of the roof and exterior facade of our building.

Introduction of the innovative “self-healing” mechanism of MICRODYN-NADIR’s BIO-CEL® membrane.
